British Canoeing Paddle Discover Award - Open Canoe

Our British Canoeing open canoe Paddle Discover Award covers all the skills you will need to pass the award. It's ideal for paddlers with a little experience or confident beginners who would like to focus on developing new skills on the river.
This course offers a great introduction to tandem open canoeing. It covers all the basic stokes needed to successfully paddle an open canoe on flat water. Open canoeing is ideal for solo or tandem paddlers and is a great way to introduce partners or the family to the simple pleasures of canoeing on the river. Because of their carrying capacity they are also excellent for camping trips if you wish.
